Blake is a multi-disciplinary designer and artist who has over 14 years of both personal and professional experience in a variety of creative fields—with a primary focus on print-based graphic design, photography, and acrylic painting.

Blake’s inspirations and influences are varied and diverse due to a lifetime of exposure to different world views and cultures. From his roots in the Deep South, to his stints in California, Italy, The Pacific Northwest, and most recently, Nashville (since 2017)— his extensive travel itineraries and his having called many different places home have equally provided the content and context to support his creative vision for his artistic adventures.

In addition to the influence of these diverse locales, some of his other inspirations come from a special reverence for history and well-made, long-lasting vintage goods, the mouthwatering-and-visual sensory input of chef-inspired cooking and food, and the peaceful presence of nature and botanical beauty. He also keeps a pulse on innovations in the fields of art and design by admiring other artists, artisans, and craftspeople who work in numerous media types, even those outside of his current wheelhouse of interests and skills.

In the often competitive nature of the creative arts, Blake prides himself in the ability to have the emotional intelligence and ego-in-check attitude to cooperate well while working with a team, while also having the drive and discipline to work solo as needed.
